On May 15, 2016, Keokuk Elk’s Lodge #106 held a service at the Keokuk Police Department in honor of National Police Officer Memorial Day. Present were police officers, firemen, and members of the community.
In 2015, 158 police officers we’re killed in the line of duty across the country. So far in 2016, 36 officers have died.
